Our baby, Kyoto

Well, I have decided it's finally time for me to express my opinion (and you will discover over time that is not a problem for me, but not usually publicly). I have been in the pet industry, specifically the dog business, for about 20 years and think I have seen it all...the good, the bad and especially the ugly. Ever since people have "discovered" that dog owners treat their best friend like a member of the family, the dog world has been inundated with pet supplies of all kinds, and quite frankly, a whole lot of it crap. Designed (if I can use that word) by people who know nothing about dogs but know about selling whether it fits or not. So, we decided to start a new company, with the help of our baby (pictured above) and our best friend, Kyoto to bring to market and to the attention of dog owners quality pet supplies that have been actually developed and designed by people who know something about pets and how they think. We run just about everything by Kyoto to see how he likes it, how it stands up to his tenacious playing and his unbelievably high standards, and if it passes the "Kyoto test", it makes it to the website. And, in between, we try to pass on some of our wisdom and experience to dog owners everywhere who sometimes struggle with bringing up their baby. After all, having a dog is like having a perpetual 2-year old for years and it's not always smooth sailing. In this blog we will share some secret (and some not so secret) information about dog training, how they think, play and work, talk about subjects every pet mommy and daddy will face at some point, review some pet supplies and just generally invite you into our daily lives as we continue to grow with Kyoto and his dog's life. We genuinely believe in quality of life for your pet and we hope to help you strengthen the bond between you and your dog, because at the end of the day, if we haven't tried to make both your lives better, we aren't doing our job. I hope you will return and follow the antics of Kyoto and what we are trying to do.
